Reading 2 Kings 6 for Monday, May 26th. Elisha makes an axe head float, and blinds an army sent to capture him.

Recording 2 Kings 5 for Saturday, May 24th. Elisha heals a man of leprosy who wanted to give him gifts, but was refused. Gehazi asked for the refused gifts and lied to Elisha about it, and so was cursed with leprosy. Both him and all his descendants.

2 Kings 3

Recording 2 Kings 3 for Thursday, May 22nd. Joram did evil as king. Three kings allied forces to confront Moab about his rebellion to Israel. Elisha was summoned to advise them, and asked for a harpist. They were given strategic plans and were given victory in battle by The Lord.

2 Kings 2

Recording 2 Kings 2 for Wednesday, May 21st. Elisha refused to leave Elijah until he is taken to heaven, and he received a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. Elisha crossed a river like Elijah used to do, and curses 42 youths who made fun of his baldness, and they were mauled by bears.

2 Kings 1

Reading 2 Kings 1 for Tuesday, May 20th. A prophet is bypassed so that the king’s advisers could ask false prophets for the outcome of their battle. Elijah called down fire from heaven to consume 102 men before going with a group who approached him in humility.

Reading 1 Kings 22 for Monday, May 19th. There was no war for three years. The king of Israel consults with many false prophets, and one prophet of God about whether or not to go into battle. The prophet said that the king would be killed in battle, after a sarcastic false prophesy of success.

Reading 1 Kings 21 for Saturday, May 17th. Naboth is killed by the false testimony of scoundrels, because of Jezebel’s instructions on behalf of the king. The king took possession of Naboth’s vineyard and was confronted and cursed by Ejijah about the malicious actions he was benefitting from.

Ben-Hadad challenges Ahab, who surrenders, but Ben-Hadad persists in looking for trouble, so God ensures victory in battle against Ben-Hadad, despite the odds being against them. Reading 1 Kings 19 for Thursday, May 15th. Jezebel threatens Elijah, and he becomes afraid, and runs for his life, depressed and hopeless. After an angel feeds him, he travels for a long time to meet with God, and is given a plan for new kings and anointing the next prophet, Elisha.
