God originally meant for us to live in a
perfect garden, free of sickness, disease, bad weather, harm,
violence, etc. And we can blame Adam and Eve for messing it up for us-
but the only way we can legitimately blame them is if we have never
messed up. Ever. Their failure, which represents ours, got us kicked
out of the perfect place. So here we are. In this imperfect world- all
the bad stuff was introduced.

SO-even in an imperfect word- why does God allow bad things to happen
to good people?

Does it hurt to see people we love suffer?

Is it ok to be angry?

Is it ok to blame God?

What’s the difference between blaming God and being angry at Him?

How can we deal with the hurt and the hardships and be right with God?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

-Jeremiah 29:11-God’s plans for you

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like
a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

-1Peter 5:8- What Satan wants

“1 Corinthians 15:51-58 (NIV)
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all
be changed— [52] in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised
imperishable, and we will be changed. [53] For the perishable must
clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.
[54] When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and
the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come
true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” [55] “Where, O death,
is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” [56] The sting of
death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. [57] But thanks be to
God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. [58]
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always
give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that
your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
-1Co 15:51-58

2010/06/01

-Karyn

Have you ever hurt someone physically or emotionally on accident?
