Discussion: Fatigue

Are you tired?

Why are you tired?

How long have you been tired?

When have you gotten good rest?

Is it hard for you to relax?

"Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
-Isaiah 40:28-31

God spoke through the prophet Isaiah acknowledging that all will become tired, but those with His hope will renew their strength. If we remain weary, it is probably because we are not resting. We are acting as though we are responsible for 100% uptime, which we are not capable of. God is capable, and He wants us to trust Him with all that is beyond our capacity. It also sounds like He will reward us with strength and vitality that outshines our best abilities otherwise.
It can be hard for hard workers to decide when they should rest, so allow others you trust to decide when you should take a break to regain your strength. Some who are more inclined to be lazy should listen to others about the length of their rest. Breaks can be helpful if they are well defined, because there should be an end to the break, where hard work begins.
