Discussion: Confidence

What keeps you from sharing things about yourself?

It's important to have an accountability partner for making progress in a relationship with God.

How can you know who to choose for an accountability partner? Start with a Christ following friend.
David said to God:

" I am a friend to all who fear you,
to all who follow your precepts."
-Psalm 119:63

(Precepts are laws and guidelines God has given in the Bible)
Ideally we are a person like that to somebody else: someone who fears God, or has Huge respect for His power and control of His creation enough to live differently than the average person might. Someone who fears God is more concerned about what God thinks than what others may think is cool- or not cool.

It's also important to know that God deserves all of our trust, and people can fail us, but we should not abandon trusting people, because God modeled that for us to do. We have to be there for each other to encourage and help to acheive God's goals for us.

Some people don't trust God, but only the things that they see and use, like their money, friends, and power, but that's not a wise plan for life. Here's a verse to let you know what God says about that:

" Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm. O LORD, save the king!
Answer us when we call!"
-Psalm 20:7-9
