Discussion: Commitment

1. What is a commitment?

2. When is it important to make a commitment?

3. Describe a time when you would have benefitted from a commitment, or when you wish someone upheld their end of a commitment.

(NIV) 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8
“For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.”

Commitments shouldn’t be entered into lightly. Nor should we avoid them due to selfish or lazy motives. Think hard about commitments you’ve made. Think hard about commitments you SHOULD make. What’s holding you back?
