Discussion: Blameless

What does it mean to be blameless?

Does blameless mean never doing a wrong thing?

Blame can be in effect when there is something still not right that needs to be paid for or repaired to be restored to it’s ideal condition.

Example: who is going to pay for this broken window? Blame is unnecessary after the window has been repaired. To remain blameless is to be right with God and connected with Jesus, striving for a more perfect walk and right relationship with God and your ‘neighbors’ (mankind).

(NIV) 2 Peter 3:14
So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

Why? What are we looking forward to?

(NIV) 2 Peter 3:13
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

‘We’ is referring to those who are following Jesus.

Are you looking forward to Jesus’ return to make things in the world right? Why or why not?
