What does it mean to submit?
Are there people you should or should not submit too? Why?
Is there ever a time that we shouldn’t submit to God?
Are there any areas of your life that you surrender control to God,
only to take it back later?

If you surrender things to God, but take control back, are you really
fully submitting to Him?
James 4:7-8 (NIV)
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you. [8] Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your
hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
The Devil doesn’t want us to succeed. The areas we struggle most, he
will use against us. God tells us to submit ourselves to Him. He also
tells us that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. It is
not His desire to be distanced from us.
What is keeping you from drawing near?
What is sitting on the stool of authority in your life?
(Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Entertainment, Food, Music, Fashion, Feelings…)
What are you going to do about it?
Are you lord of your life? Are you willing to relinquish that control
and submit to the true Lord?
