Reading 1 Samuel 30 for Monday, March 3rd. David and his men are subject to an attack by a raiding party while they were away, so they go and recover their wives and children and belongings with God’s assurance of victory, while 1/3 of them stay back with the supplies. David’s hope remained with God while things looked grim.
