Reading 1 Kings 18 for Wednesday, May 14th. Elijah goes back to Ahab and challenges all of the prophets of Baal to an altar showdown. Fire comes from God to consume the altar presented to him, while Baal’s altar is untouched. Then all of the false prophets are killed, and rain comes after waiting and checking.
