Reading Matthew 17 for Friday, March 31st. Jesus is transfigured while meeting with Moses and Elijah, Peter offers to build shelters for their guests. Jesus later explains how John the Baptist was a fulfillment of Elijah’s return. Jesus heals a boy that his disciples did not have enough faith to heal. Jesus predicts His own death, and pays the 2 drachma temple tax of both Him and Peter, even though he isn’t really required to, by instructing Peter to catch a fish and look inside it’s mouth.
