Today I read 2 Samuel 11 where King David sinned by sleeping with Bathsheba, and arranged for her husband Uriah to conveniently die in battle. Later, I listened to a segment of recorded audio from the book of Romans, ending in chapter 11. (Immerse Messiah Reading Plan: Week 7, Day 31) where Paul explains to the Gentiles how they were grafted into God’s family tree, and should be thankful, but not proud for themselves.
