March 7th

I read 2 Samuel 3 today. David’s kingship was more firmly established after a dispute between Abner and his allies, because Abner made an agreement with David. After leaving David’s presence, Abner was killed by Joab to avenge his brother’s death. David gained favor with the people, because he mourned Abner’s death and did not have anything to do with Abner’s murder. I also listened to the Immerse reading for today (week 5, day 23)
