I read 2 Chronicles 1 today:
God asked Solomon what he wanted now that his kingdom was firmly established, and he asked humbly for wisdom and knowledge to govern the vast innumerable group of people. God was pleased that he didn’t request riches, long life, or for the death of his enemies, so he also was given riches as well as wisdom and a secure kingdom.
