Reading John 18 for Wednesday, April 27th. Jesus gets betrayed, then arrested, and put on trial, Peter denies knowing Jesus three times.

Reading John 17 for Tuesday, April 26th. Jesus prays to God The Father for His disciples to be protected while in the world, rather than being simply taken from it. 

John 16

Reading John 16 for Monday, April 25th. Jesus explains that after He leaves, the Holy Spirit will come to be with them. Finally the disciples believe and understand what Jesus is saying.

Reading John 15 for Thursday, March 31st. Jesus teaches his disciples that they need to stay connected to Him, and what they can expect from the world after He leaves.

Reading John 14 for Wednesday, March 30th. Jesus explains that to know Him is to know The Father. Then he predicts the evening’s events.

Reading John 13 for Tuesday, March 29th. Jesus teaches the disciples to serve one another as he served them, then predicts his own betrayal and Peter’s denial.

Lazarus dies, and Jesus is moved by the sad moment, and then He raises Lazarus to life, which causes quite a reaction among the Pharisees, especially one who prophesies that Jesus will die for the Jewish Nation. Now Jesus is being actively hunted by the religious establishment.

Reading Isaiah 55 for Tuesday, March 8th. Don’t worry about what is not bread and what does not satisfy. The thirsty are invited to come to The LORD.

Reading Isaiah 54 for Monday, March 7th. God describes Zion as a rejected widow who He takes as His own and protects and allows to flourish under His care.

Reading Isaiah 53 for Friday, March 4th. Jesus had nothing notable in his appearance to attract others to himself, and was a man of sorrows. His innocent death brought intercession for all who believe to reconcile us to God.

Reading Isaiah 52 for Thursday, March 3rd. Prophecy I believe is referring to Jesus’ marred and disfigured face before his crucifixion and the affect on all nations.

Reading Isaiah 51 for Wednesday, March 2nd. Zion was subject to God’s wrath, but now his wrath will be directed to their oppressors and they will be saved from being trampled underfoot.

Reading John 10 for Monday, February 29th. Jesus teaches about how he is the only gate to safe pasture and his followers are sheep who trust and know the good shepherd. The Jews then tried to stone Jesus for blasphemy, but he got away.
