Notes:Run to Win
Delivered by Daron Earlewine of “crux ministries”
(12:1) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (12:2) Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (12:3) Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
(12:4) In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood

Wherever you draw the lines in life, you will have to fight for it for the rest of your life.

Bad motive question:
Is it a sin?
Good motive question:
Does it help me run?
Throw off everything that hinders or weighs down.

Is it possible to become like Christ?
(14:11) Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. (14:12) I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (14:13) And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. (14:14) You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
(14:15) “If you love me, you will obey what I command. (14:16) And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— (14:17) the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be° in you.(14:18) I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. (14:19) Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. (14:20) On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

What hinders you from running to God?
1-something you watch
2-something you read
3-something you listen to
4-something you consume
5-some people you surround yourself with
