Matthew
(6:34) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

What are bad ways to react to stress?

2Samuel
(17:23) When Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and set out for his house in his hometown. He put his house in order and then hanged himself. So he died and was buried in his father’s tomb.

Matthew
(27:3) When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.
(27:4) “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”
(27:5) So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

What are good ways to react to stress?

Job
(1:19) when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
(1:20) At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship
(1:21) and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will depart.°
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised.”
(1:22) In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

1 Peter
(4:15) If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.
(4:16) However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
