Discussion: Stuck in a rut

Karyn:
Have you ever felt like you were just existing, and not living?…like no
matter how hard you try, nothing will ever be different?

Have you ever felt like not doing anything because of how you were
feeling emotionally?

Have you ever wanted to change a tough situation, but not know how?

What are some ways we can get past the obstacles of our feelings and
see change?

1Corinthians 9:24
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets
the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
(don’t give up)

Psalms 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they
comfort me.
(God is there in our times of distress)

Job 2:9-10
His wife said to him, “Are you still holding on to your integrity?
Curse God and die!”
He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept
good from God, and not trouble?”
In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
(Despite what we are feeling, we must keep our focus on God’s will for
us. We cannot feel sorry for ourselves, blame God or become self
centered. Tough times come, bad things happen. God is still good, loves
us and wants us to remain in Him)
