When is being busy a bad thing? Can being busy ever be good?
Karyn writes: Do you watch the news? There have been many reports of babies dying because they were left in the car for hours. The parents do not intend to leave their child, they are distracted or have a change in their usual routine. These parents are devastated by the death of their child. I have been reminded by these reports to check my schedule. How busy am I? What am I neglecting?When my schedule fills up, one of the first things I forget is time alone with God. This may not result in the physical death of anyone, but it can result in spiritual death. Where we spend eternity should matter more to us than life on Earth. This life should be lived with an eternal perspective. Everything we do should be with excellence. It is hard to be excellent when we are spreading ourselves thin.
