What motivates you?
What is something that should benefit you: (not now, but much later) that you are currently involved in?
Are you motivated by fear? Give an example:
“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”
(NIV) Proverbs 29:25
Are you motivated by money? Example:
“Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.”
(NIV) Ecclesiastes 5:10
Are you motivated by ‘pats on the back’?
“With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.”
(NIV) Daniel 11:32
Be warned that when you are more concerned by what people think of you than God, you are destined for corruption. Know your God.
How can you know God?
