I read Jeremiah 16:

“They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried but will be like refuse lying on the ground. They will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.”
-Jeremiah 16:4 (NIV)

This passage just seemed eerie to read this year because I have been following the statistics of a worldwide pandemic as it affects the United States, California and my own county and city to a lesser degree. it is not known when the social distancing restrictions will be lifted or if ‘normal’ interactions in public will ever be restored again. I miss attending church on Sundays and seeing the teens at youth group on Tuesdays, having people over for lunch or dinner, or having my kids get invited to friends birthday parties, none the less, I have a healthy family at home and we are keeping and increasing some healthy habits and are not negatively impacted in our ability to meet financial needs as they come. God is still providing and we are doing what we can to make the most of the situation.
