Reading 2 Peter 2 for Thursday, July 28th. False prophets and teachers will bring destruction on themselves and all who listen to them. 

Reading 2 Peter 1 for Wednesday, July 27th. If you don’t show brotherly kindness or love, you may have forgotten the sins that you have been forgiven of. 

Reading 1 Peter 5 for Tuesday, July 26th. Don’t push (or allow yourself to be pushed) in dealing with each other in your church roles, deal with each other in love. 

Reading Ezekiel 24 for Monday, July 25th. God gives Ezekiel a parable to share about boiled meat, being cooked and the copper pot overheated. Then Ezekiel’s wife dies and God asks Ezekiel not to follow the normal custom of mourning as a sign to the people. 

Warning: graphic descriptions of sex and violence are depicted in this chapter.  Reading Ezekiel 23 for Saturday, July 23rd.  God brings destruction on two lewd sisters who were prostitutes, idolaters and murderers of their own children.  Update: They actually are a graphically depicted metaphor for two increasingly unfaithful cities: Samaria and Jerusalem. 

Reading Ezekiel 22 for Friday, July 22nd. God plans to melt Jerusalem like dross in a furnace. 

Reading Ezekiel 21 for Thursday, July 21st. The sword of judgement is coming for Jerusalem and Israel. 

Reading Ezekiel 20 for Wednesday, July 20th. God speaks through Ezekiel about the idolatry and His coming wrath, yet the Israelites don’t take him seriously. 

Reading Ezekiel 19 for Tuesday, July 19th. Israel’s princes are compared to ferocious lions being captured or a flourishing vine withering and being burned. 

Reading Ezekiel 18 for Monday, July 18th. Children will not be punished for their father’s sins, but each man will be responsible for his own conduct: whether good or bad. 

Reading Ezekiel 17 for Saturday, July 16th. God gives another allegory or parable to explain how things will go badly for the king of Jerusalem. 

Reading Ezekiel 16 for Friday, July 15th. Jerusalem is described with a story about her rise & fall, humiliation and restoration. 

Reading Ezekiel 15 for Thursday, July 14th. God compared Jerusalem to a useless vine. 

Reading Ezekiel 14 for Wednesday, July 13th. God does not approve of false prophets and is going to bring His wrath on the people. 

Reading Ezekiel 13 for Tuesday, July 12th. God is not happy with false prophets misleading his people into their own spiritual destruction. 

Reading Ezekiel 12 for Monday, July 11th. Ezekiel demonstrates packing and leaving for exile. 

Reading Ezekiel 11 for Saturday, July 9th. Ezekiel is shown what God plans to do to the wayward leaders and instructed to prophesy accordingly. 

Reading Ezekiel 10 for Friday, July 8th. God’s glory left the temple. 

Reading Ezekiel 9 for Thursday, July 7th. People who are idolaters are killed, while those who lament and are grieved by this are spared. 

Reading Ezekiel 8 for Wednesday, July 6th. Ezekiel is shown the secret idolatry of the house of Judah. 

Reading Ezekiel 7 for Tuesday, July 5th. Bad news for the Israelites. They really should have listened to their earlier warnings from God. 

Reading Ezekiel 6 for Monday, July 4th. God has Ezekiel prophesy what three things will happen to the Mountain Israelites that worship other gods disobediently. 

Reading Ezekiel 4 for Friday, July 1st. God asks Ezekiel to lay down on each side and drink specific amounts of water and to cook food over human excrement to get the attention of Jerusalem to listen to a prophecy. Then He edits his request to substitute the prescribed fuel with cow manure.
