I read 1 Samuel 26 today, where David had another chance to easily kill king Saul, but would not because he was anointed as king. He figured that if God wanted him not to be the king, He would kill Saul Himself. Later, I also read Luke 22-24 on pace with my church’s current reading plan. In those chapters, Judas agreed to betray Jesus for money, Peter denied that he knew Jesus, Jesus was killed on a cross, Jesus’s body went missing, Angels told Mary Magdalene that Jesus was alive, the disciples didn’t believe the news, Jesus Himself walked and talked with the disciples without being recognized, told the disciples to stay in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit comes to fill them with power, and then He ascended into heaven.
